Must Haves For Successful Cryptocurrency Communities

In the cryptocurrency industry communities are undoubtedly one of the most important aspects for a successful project. Many promising projects struggle to continue development due to an inability to attract a prosperous community ecosystem. The importance is undeniable, but how exactly do some of the most successful communities in crypto operate?

Today we are going to look particular aspects that are critical to achieve a growing community in the cryptocurrency space. In later articles we will dive deeper into which of these aspects are weighted more heavily on the importance scale. Let’s dive in!

Telegram — Crypto community enthusiasts hoard to Telegram to quickly learn about projects and ask questions. The best projects have multiple Telegram channels. Some which are ran by the community and at least one professional account ran by the company itself.

Medium — A great way to add legitimacy to your project. Medium allows you to write articles that are centered around ideas your project aims to solve and accomplish. When you do so, it brings relevant people to your website and joining your community.

Developer Centric Forums — This is the golden goose. Cryptocurrency projects need developers to build on their open source code. This grows the ecosystem and results in a long term sustainable product. Finding ways to leverage Discourse and other Forum tools specifically for growing developer communities allows your project to stand out from the crowd.

YouTube — Community members love to see video content. It is as simple as that. If you want to personalize your community growth approach then this is a must.

In Person Events — The best communities set up initiatives towards setting up a sequence of in person events in specifically targeted locations. With that being said, it is important to measure success of in person event early on a cost basis. Funding these without proven results is a great way to waste funds.

Twitter — Twitter has become an essential component for cryptocurrency communities. It is full of excited community members looking for their next project to believe in. It is pivotal to be visible and professional on Twitter in todays cryptocurrency landscape.

Bounties, Airdrops, Giveaways, etc. — If you are looking for unique ways to target community growth then look no further. Bounties, Airdrops, and Giveaways are uniquely effective when deployed correctly.

Reddit — Many newcomers to the cryptocurrency landscape first stumble on Reddit when looking into new projects. It is important to post frequently, professionally, and to moderate effectively.

When a cryptocurrency project effectively culminates the components above it is a great way to ensure community growth.
